INAIR reaches its tenth project milestone
- 26 June 2026 09:00
The INAIR consortium has achieved is tenth milestone, the Final Validation of the Project Results and Outcomes, confirming the successful conclusion of the project’s implementation and the achievement of its principal objectives.
The milestone was completed through the Steering Committee’s review and approval of the draft Final Management Report (D1.5). The validation considered the consolidated evidence concerning project implementation, work-package results, deliverables, milestones, key performance indicators, quality assurance and post-project sustainability arrangements.
The Steering Committee confirmed that all six work packages had been completed, all planned deliverables had been produced and all eleven project milestones had been achieved. The review identified no material deviations affecting the project’s objectives, intervention logic or principal target groups.
Over its 30-month implementation period, INAIR developed an integrated learning ecosystem to support the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the European retail sector. The main results include:
- a transnational analysis of AI-related skills needs and gaps in retail;
- an AI Core Curriculum structured around 16 learning blocks;
- an AI Skills Assessment Tool supporting personalised learning pathways;
- a multilingual e-learning program;
- a toolkit for facilitators;
- a Trustworthy AI Map covering practical tools for retail MSMEs;
- policy recommendations and a post-project exploitation roadmap.
The validation also considered the results of the external evaluation activities conducted during the project. These included the validation of the Open Educational Resources, the evaluation of the e-learning programme by retail participants and external experts, the assessment of the Practical Guide for Facilitators, and an independent review of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility across the curriculum and digital learning environment.
Pilot and evaluation results confirmed the relevance, usability and perceived learning value of the programme. Participants reported improved understanding of AI in retail, increased confidence in considering or adopting AI solutions, and a positive assessment of the overall quality of the learning experience.
The completion of Milestone M10 marks the transition from project implementation to continued use, adaptation and exploitation of the INAIR results. The project’s resources will remain available to retailers, trainers, education providers, business-support organisations, researchers and policy actors through the INAIR website and learning environment.
