Practical Guide for Facilitators
A toolkit to support AI-related training in the retail sector
The Practical Guide for Facilitators is a digital toolkit developed within the INAIR project to support trainers, facilitators and learning designers in using the project results in real training contexts.
It provides practical guidance and ready-to-use resources to help integrate AI-related learning into vocational education and training for the retail sector.
The toolkit is designed as a flexible online environment that gives users direct access to all its components through a single entry point.
Orientation and Getting Started
What is the Practical Guide?
The Practical Guide for Facilitators is conceived as a support tool for Continuous Vocational Education and Training providers and other professionals involved in designing, delivering or managing learning pathways in the retail sector.
Its purpose is to help these users implement, adapt and scale the INAIR project outputs within their own organisational and educational contexts. Rather than functioning as a technical repository, the toolkit is designed as a practical and pedagogically oriented environment that supports the effective use of AI-related learning resources.
Who is it for?
The toolkit is intended for trainers, facilitators, course designers, in-company learning and development teams, work-based learning providers, intermediary organisations and other CVET actors supporting adult learners in retail and related service sectors.
It is especially relevant for those working with current or future retail professionals in areas such as customer service, marketing, e-commerce, operations, management and digital transformation.
How to use the toolkit
The toolkit can be consulted in a flexible and non-linear way. Users may begin with the User Manual to understand the platform, move to the Use Case Collection to identify suitable pedagogical scenarios, explore the Content Library to find complementary resources, or watch the Explainer Videos for a concise introduction to the project's main outputs.
Each component can be used independently, but together they support a complete process of planning, delivery and adaptation.
User Manual
Understand the INAIR learning environment
The User Manual helps facilitators understand the structure and logic of the INAIR platform before they begin planning training activities. It explains how learners access the environment, how modules are organised, how personalised pathways are assigned and how assessment and feedback are integrated into the learning process.
It also clarifies how facilitators can support onboarding, progression and workplace transfer without needing to act as traditional instructors.
Use Case Collection
Explore practical training scenarios
The Use Case Collection demonstrates how the platform can be used in real training situations. Each use case is built around one of the customised learning pathways associated with a specific business function and shows how modules and related resources can be embedded into short courses, blended programmes, in-company training, onboarding, upskilling or reskilling pathways.
The use cases are designed as standalone pedagogical resources that facilitators can reuse, adapt or combine depending on their context.
Content Library
Find additional educational resources
The Content Library extends the toolkit beyond the core platform content by providing a curated catalogue of relevant educational resources. These may include open educational resources, short videos, case studies, activity sheets, interactive tools and materials from other EU-funded projects. The catalogue is designed to be searchable and filterable, making it easier for facilitators to identify resources that match a specific organisational function, learning block, proficiency level or pedagogical purpose.

Explainer Videos
Watch short introductions to the project results
The explainer videos provide a quick and accessible overview of the main INAIR outputs. They are designed to help facilitators understand the background, structure and practical relevance of the project resources.
AI Skills Needs and Gaps Analysis
This video explains why the analysis was conducted, which needs and challenges were identified in the retail sector, and what the findings mean for training providers and facilitators.
Watch on YouTubeAI Core Curriculum
This video presents the structure of the curriculum, its modular logic, the differentiated learning pathways and the way competences and assessments are organised. It helps facilitators understand how the platform content is designed and how it can be used in practice.
Watch on YouTubeOpen Educational Resources
This video introduces the types of open educational resources included in the project and explains how they can support blended, facilitated and contextualised learning designs in retail training.
