We are pleased to invite you to our first Virtual Knowledge Café, taking place on Monday, 28 July 2025 at 12:00 CEST. This interactive online session aims to foster knowledge exchange among project partners and key stakeholders, with a focus on artificial intelligence and upskilling in the retail sector.

The event is designed to highlight best practices, present research findings, and facilitate structured discussions on emerging challenges and opportunities related to workforce development in an AI-driven retail landscape.

Objectives

  • Share insights and knowledge gained by project partners to date.

  • Present tools and research outputs developed within the AI4Retail project.

  • Encourage peer-to-peer dialogue through moderated interactive sessions.

  • Explore synergies with other EU-funded initiatives such as ARISA.

 

Agenda

12:00 Welcome and Project Overview: Opening remarks, objectives, and a brief introduction to the INAIR project.

12:10 Lessons Learned from INAIR: During this segment, participants will hear from several key contributors to the INAIR project, each offering insights into current progress, tools, and findings:

  • University of Warsaw - Digital Economy Lab (DELab) | Research Findings: DELab will present key results from their research on AI adoption in the retail sector, including analysis of trends, challenges, and skill gaps among SMEs. Their presentation will offer a foundation for further discussion on training needs and policy alignment.
  • Team4Excellence (T4E) | Curriculum and Assessment Tool: T4E will introduce the Curriculum and Assessment Tool developed within the project. This practical resource is designed to support training providers and SMEs in structuring and evaluating AI upskilling pathways tailored to retail workforce needs.

12:40 Interactive Discussions: Participants will join breakout rooms to discuss challenges and experiences related to upskilling SME workers in AI. Key insights will be shared in plenary at the end of the session.

13:10 Conclusions and Next Steps: Summary of key points and closing remarks.
